Gundam Wing Yep, the best show ever. I like most of the characters, but there are a few I can't stand. If you are a major fan and you get offended...I'd say I'm sorry, but I'm not really too sorry. So ha.
Heero Yuy "Most Likely to Star in a Gap Comercial" Well, I didn't care for him at first. But then I started thinking of him in terms of Shinigami and an Angel, and...I like him now. He's got this "I'm a big tough guy but Please Don't Hurt Me!" aura. And he has nice eyes. I will add more later.
Duo Maxwell "Most Likely to Forget to Take His Ritalin" All my friends know I could go on forever about Duo. He's hot, and funny, and his Gundam is wicked. But why? What is the story behind this walking contradiction? Duo is a people person. Like Quatre, he just loves people. Of course, Duo has a different way of showing it (wink wink nudge nudge). Duo is willing to kill and go to Hell, so that other people won't have the chance to get their own souls dirty. "We're gonna fight so the people don't have to!" That's him in a nutshell.
Trowa Barton "Most Likely to Get Kicked out of the Galaxy By ME" I hate his guts. He's so...ug. More on the Mute Clown, as soon as get my essay on him typed into the computer. Yeah, I wrote an essay on him during algebra one day. Now you see how pathetic I really am.
Quatre Raberba Winner "Most Likely to Get Kidnapped in Really Funny Fanfics" Yay! It's Quatre! He really is, emotionally, the strongest Gundam pilot (except for that one time...). He doesn't make excuses, he doesn't hide from the truth. He just does what he thinks needs to be done. I love him. My Quatre Essay, which I actually wrote on my own time, will be up soon.
Wufei Chang "Most Likely to Get Killed By Feminists" Ah, Wufei, what can we say about you? Not much. You're cute when you're angry, and your Gundam rocks, but other than that you are mostly ignored. So sad. I love you, Wufei. You have a strong sense of justice.
More later, minna-san!
Guess what, I'm adding more!
Dorothy Catalonia "Most likely to, um, wear a vampire dress to prom"
Y'know, lots of people hate Dorothy. They say she has creepy eyebrows. So? I like her eyebrows. They're so strange; they add to her character. I love Dorothy. She's so creepy to Relena. And I must admit, that when she stabs Quatre, I am quietly cheering for her to FINISH HIM OFF! Jeeze, he drives me nuts with all that "kindness" talk. Erg. Anyway...the Catalonia chick really is da baddest, as one of her fansites says.

Negaverse
Yippee! First of all...This is the Negaverse, not the Dark Kingdom, for reasons as yaoi shall not be permitted on this site. Much to the distress of the webmistress. Anyway, Zoisite is Zoisite, no matter how you voice the character. Yah, yah, I know, there are differences, and I prefer male Zoisite...but don't you think he would rather be a girl? And I really don't want my net priveleges taken away. So female Zoi it is.
Malachite The strongest general, the most handsome, the most intelligent, the most willing to mess up his hair for the glory of the Negaverse...well, we don't know about that. But dang, he does have nice hair, doesnt' he? And are we the only ones who sense a romantic history between him and Beryl? And Ninjana? Man, Zoicite's got some competition. Malachite. I loved him long before I started watching Sailor Moon. He has a certain loyalty to the side of evil, a strange sense of duty. And he does love Zoi.
Zoisite (Zoicite, Zoycite, what the jikugo ever) Our favorite anime character ever! She's just...she has no redeeming qualities. Unless ambition is a redeeming quality, and we really don't think it is. She is the pettiest, most human character out there, and we absolutlely love her. And her hair. Not that the sarcasm doesn't hurt. More later, as always!
Nephlite
"The stars know everything..." Too bad they didn't tell him that true love ruins a good bad guy. Gets 'em every time, dang it! His car was so cool...ahhh...car...NEway, Nephlite had potential, but he was getting in the way of Zoisite's plans, and that is never good. He had to be sacrificed, especially after he went soft. Dang cupid.
Jedite
Well...I only saw two episodes with him in them. That's okay, because I don't think he has much of a personality anyway. He has nice hair. Before I really started watching Sailor Moon, I thought he was Malachite the first time I saw him. Why that is interesting, I don't know, but he has nice hair! |

Team Rocket
Jessie and James, Musashi and Kojiro. Double Trouble. The lovely, charming villians. What can we say, but that they rock? Well of course, they are Team Rocket.
Ahem.
The first time we saw James, we said, "Wow! He looks cute and evil! His hair is awesome and he has a rose!" And so we became hooked on Pokemon, and then Sailor Moon, and then every other anime that has made it to American TV and even a few that haven't. We blame it all on James.
He is beautiful, sensitive, and always hungry. Maybe he's not too smart, but he has a good heart ("Even I think this is rotten!"). He also likes to wear women's clothing, but heck, it's anime. We understand.
Jessie, on the other hand, it very confident. She's got it and she flaunts it. That's okay because, well, it is anime! Jessie is the classic "tough girl with a soft side." She cries sometimes. She looks out for James. And, every once in a while, she lets James look out for her.
Team Rocket wouldn't be complete without Meowth (or the millions of other minions who always get stuck with names like "Sundance" and "Kid"). A wise-cracking cat from New Jersey, Meowth knows a thing or two about being a yakuza (gangster). Love him.
Anime Reviews
Hee hee, I will now review shows. Not so much the actual show, as the essence of the show.
Armitage III --- The essence of this show is science fiction hentai. Kevin swears it is awesome after the first few scenes (I didn't make it any farther than that), but Kevin also watches Striptease "for the great plot." (Kevin, I am just joshing you, ha ha?) Anyway, the animation is excellent, Naomi Armitage is way cool, and it's got one of those cool "are androids humans?" plots. I'll have to finish watching it. Someday.
Tenchi Muyo (and Tenchi everything else) --- The Tenchi series are cool. Love the alien girls. Especially Ryoko, and not Aeyaka, or however you spell it. This show contains your standard "one guy pursued by lots of good-looking girls" plot, leading me to believe that most anime shows are created by geeks who can't get girlfriends and must make up for this by making anime (even Gundam Wing has hints of this. I mean, "Oh, Heeeeerrrrrrrooooo," and "Hey, he remembered my name!") Where was I? Oh yeah. Animation in Tenchi is pretty darn good, nice and modern. Bright colors. The series is very funny, with a few ecchi moments that get past the censors on Cartoon Network (the version I watched). There is also sci-fi action. Not something I taped every day, but sometimes I wish I had.
G Gundam --- Ha ha ha! Who made this show? Does anyone take this show seriously? I mean, the main character's attack is SHINING FINGER! And look at Chibodee's hair! Speaking of Chibodee, can you say stereotype? At least he gets good girlfriends. Sometimes they are cool. Everyone on this show has cool moments, and then they ruin them by saying stuff like "The sparks from the young lions' claws...." and I didn't hear the rest 'cause I was laughing too hard. In short, this show is great to watch if you want a laugh. In fact, I think if everyone watched this show they would learn to laugh at themselves (and especially to laugh at Mexicans, because that is the funniest mecha I have ever seen, although everyone might start to have nightmares about French people, because George's Gundam outfit is scary...) and no one would be sad because they would be too busy laughing at Tequila Gundam and Shining Gundam's attacks (This is an actual line : "That Gundam...It's SHINING!"). So the final analysis is: we hope the people who made this show are getting the help they so desperately need.
Vampire Hunter D! --- Both of them. Um, they're really cool, although the animation in the first one is not great, and the dialogue is...weird...not to mention the fact that the little kid has the most annoying voice I've ever heard. No, you should go out and buy it and watch the dub just to see how horrible this kid's American voice is. Seriously, take Molly from Sailor Moon and make it deeper and weirder...
Um....The villians are way neat-o, and include this demon who can bend space around him in the first one and a demon who has a werewolf (there wolf!) head pop out of his stomach in the second one.
Final analysis: D is awesome, and I will never tire of vampires.
X --------- This show was dumb. Don't watch it.
Okay, I'll explain. In the begginning, this sword pops out of this guy's mom's stomach. Then this group of angels or devils or dragons or something, who are present on earth in the form of a group of humans which of course includes a stripper, attacks the main guy's house and steals his sidewalk and takes it to Holland. Then this shadow swallows his girlfriend, and then the main guy has a vision of himself being crucified, only it's not him it's his evil side, and then his good side gets crucified and the bad self cuts off the good self's head, maybe with the sword that popped out of his mom, but I don't remember because it was so horrible we weren't really paying attention. Um, I don't think the stuff about the sidewalk happened, but the rest of it is totally true. Actually, the thing about the sidewalk could have happened, it was really confusing....
But the animation was nice, and I think I remember one guy being kind of cute.
Macross Plus ----- Okay, I made Kevin rent this because I remember Robotech from my childhood, and I recently found out that it was an anime and it's real name was Macross. So we checked out the movie Macross Plus. And it was bad. Not even interesting bad, like G Gundam. It was so blah and the animation stunk and the main character was annoying. The only good thing that came out of it was that there was this guy (girl?) named Mosh who had pink hair. So now we have Mosh as the ultimate nightmare....Mosh dressed as George from G Gundam...piloting Heavyarms and doing backflips...while Relena's voice is heard in the background...
Great, now I'll never get to sleep.
